Handcrafted works of wood for my son’s college education
The birth of my son Jack is one the greatest moment of my
life (marrying my wife being the other).
As he grows and my fatherly skills develop, I want to provide him with
the best possible chances in life. I’m
confident most of my fatherly skills will help Jack succeed, but funding for
his college education requires a little extra effort.
To secure funding for Jack’s education, I needed to generate
more income in addition to my “day job.” I decided to turn my hobby into a
business. All the proceeds of my
business go towards my son’s college education fund.
With this venerable goal, I feel it is also my obligation to
ensure all of the works I create to be equally distinguished. To ensure this, every piece is handmade by me
from start to finish and highly scrutinized to ensure a beautiful and flawless
finished product.
My father is a contractor and though I did not follow in his
footsteps, I picked up a wealth of knowledge from him. Among the things I learned, woodworking was
my favorite. Since my first project when
I was five years old, (arbitrarily hammering nails into my dad’s saw horses – a
story my dad is often to remind me of J)
my woodworking skills have continued to grow.
Someday, if Jack is interested, I will pass my skills and knowledge to
him.
